A Student’s Story

Client: The RSA

Project background

The Royal Society of Arts (The RSA) Student Design Awards challenge emerging designers around the world to tackle pressing social, environmental and economic issues through design thinking. Founded in 1924, they are the longest-running student competition in the world.

Past winners have included Sir Jonathan Ive (Chief Design Officer for Apple Inc), Richard Howarth ( Vice president of Industrial Design for Apple Inc), Richard Clarke (Global VP, Advanced Innovation, Nike) and Andrea Siodmok (Head of Policy Lab for the Cabinet Office)
Filmmaker and fellow of the RSA, Paul Wyatt spent time with awards program in 2016 following the complete process of judging, finalists interviews, announcements and finally the awards night itself. The film celebrates the creative talent behind the entries and is narrated by past and present entrants.
